Aqualance Lancets
Phoenix Aqualance Lancets are sterile tri-bevelled needles. Designed very small and thin, to prick the skin, which requires minimal effort for taking drops of blood quickly, and easily in a clinical and home environment. (Lancet action is sometimes referred to as “prick”, “finger pricker” or “finger stick”).

- Before pricking your fingertip, little prior warm up your hand to improve blood circulation
- Select the fingertip you want to prick and sanitize it with a 70% alcohol prep pad (gamma sterilized wipes used to sanitize skin before injection, finger prick, or first-aid to decrease germs in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns.)
- Now rotate and pull the safety cap and then aim the sanitized fingertip you want to prick
- Be still and try to prick slightly off-centre of the fingertip and not the bullseye
- Take a drop of blood for testing and monitoring and wipe out the excess blood with a freshly open 70% alcohol prep pad (do not reuse the old one)
- After use dispose of it by inserting the tip of the lancet into the safety cap, make sure the cap is horizontal so that the tip will be inserted easily.
- Then throw it in the trash and not in your recycling bin and clean your hands
